Why BagzTagz Was Created


In busy environments such as airports, thousands of bags move through complex systems every day. Yet one simple problem still causes major delays in returning lost luggage: many bags have no contact information attached.


Working in an airport environment that handles lost and delayed baggage, it’s common to see hundreds or even thousands of bags sitting in storage without any way to identify the owner quickly. When this happens, the recovery process becomes long and frustrating for both passengers and staff.


Travellers must report their bag missing and describe it in detail. Staff then search through large numbers of bags trying to match those descriptions. Even with systems such as , the process can take time and often involves repeated follow-ups.


BagzTagz Ltd was created to simplify this process.


Each BagzTagz label contains a unique QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone. When scanned, the system instantly alerts the owner and the business that found the bag. Instead of relying on lengthy reports and descriptions, a simple scan creates an immediate connection.


Although inspired by the challenges seen in airports, BagzTagz is designed for any business that manages lost property. Hotels, taxis, train stations, gyms, restaurants, stadiums, and event venues all deal with items left behind. Many of these businesses have storage areas filled with lost belongings waiting to be claimed.


BagzTagz provides a simple solution: scan the code, alert the owner, and return the item faster.
